Wisdom teeth

Wisdom teeth, handled in one visit

Most people need their wisdom teeth out in their late teens or early twenties. In the majority of cases all four come out in a single visit, under the level of sedation you choose.

Wisdom teeth, the third molars at the very back of your mouth, usually begin to develop in the late teens to early twenties. For most people there simply is not enough room for them. When a wisdom tooth is impacted or crowded, it can push against neighboring teeth, trap food and bacteria under the gum, and set off pain, swelling, or repeat infections.

Removing problem wisdom teeth early, before the roots fully form and the jawbone hardens, generally means a simpler surgery and an easier recovery. That is why dentists and orthodontists often recommend an evaluation in the late-teen years, even before symptoms start.

  • All four removed in a single visit in most cases
  • Local anesthetic, oral sedation, or IV sedation
  • Planned on 3D imaging before surgery day
  • Written aftercare, and a phone number that reaches us

Dental implants

A tooth that is yours again

A dental implant replaces the whole tooth, root and all. It looks natural, feels solid, and with good care it can last for decades.

An implant is a small titanium post that takes the place of a missing tooth root. Once it fuses with your jawbone, it becomes a rock-solid anchor for a crown that looks and works like a natural tooth. Unlike a bridge, an implant does not lean on the neighboring teeth, and unlike a removable denture, it never slips.

Implants also protect the jaw itself. When a tooth is lost, the bone that held it begins to shrink away. An implant keeps that bone stimulated and preserves the shape of your smile over time. If your jaw needs preparation first, bone grafting and sinus lift procedures are done here, in the same office, by the same surgeon.

  • Placed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon
  • Planned on 3D imaging, to the millimeter
  • Grafting and sinus lifts done in the same office
  • We coordinate the crown with your own dentist

The scan, on screen

Imaging is done in the office, and you see the angle of every tooth on the screen at the same moment your surgeon does. The plan is explained in plain language.

Comfort is a choice you make

Local anesthetic, oral sedation, or IV sedation is offered on every procedure. Most wisdom tooth patients choose to sleep through it. Nobody here talks you out of being comfortable.

A smooth recovery

You leave with written aftercare instructions and a number that reaches us. Most patients take it easy for two or three days and are back to their routine within a week.

Karen

From our patient video

“It was really important to me that we found a provider that was compassionate and just gentle, and that didn’t push us in and out the door. They were all so kind and compassionate, answered all of our questions, and I really felt like my daughter was just in the absolute best hands.”
